Chocolate Date Snicker Hearts

These Chocolate Date Snicker Hearts were a huge hit this week—and for good reason. They taste shockingly similar to a classic Snickers bar, but they’re made with simple, whole ingredients and take very little time to pull together. Sweet, salty, crunchy, and chocolatey, they’re the kind of treat that disappears fast.

Medjool dates create the perfect naturally sweet base, while peanuts and peanut butter add that signature nutty crunch. Once dipped in rich dark chocolate and finished with a sprinkle of coarse salt and crushed dehydrated berries, these little hearts are like candy. They’re especially great for Valentine’s Day desserts, parties, or anytime you want a no-bake treat that looks fancy but is incredibly easy to make.

Best of all, these healthy Snickers-style date hearts store well in the freezer, making them ideal for prepping ahead of time. Serve them straight from the freezer for the perfect bite, and don’t be surprised when people ask for the recipe.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

I made these Chocolate Date Snicker Hearts for an event this week, and they were a hit! 😋

Yes, they taste like indulgent snicker bars and are so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Medjool dates (with the pits)
  • 2 Tbsp Peanuts
  • 2 Tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark (60%) chocolate chips, melted
  • Coarse salt
  • Dehydrated strawberries or raspberries, crushed 🍓

Instructions

  1. Pull the pits out of the dates from the top and use your finger to form a wider opening in the date.
  2. Stuff peanuts and peanut butter to the opening in the date in any order you want.
  3. Close the top of the date up with your fingers and mold the date into a heart shape.
  4. Pour the dark Chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and spray or drip a little avocado or olive oil over the chocolate and stir. Heat in the microwave on high in 30-second increments, stirring the chocolate chips each round. It takes about 4 to 5 rounds of 30-second increments to melt completely.
  5. Dip each heart in the melted chocolate and place on sheet pan prepared with parchment paper.
  6. While the chocolate is still wet, lightly sprinkle course salt and crushed dehydrated berries over hearts.
  7. Keep in freezer until the chocolate sets. Enjoy or add to a container and keep in the freezer.
  8. Enjoy and happy Valentines! 💝
