Set Employees Up for Their Best Health in 2024! Here’s How

Hello, and happy New Year! Welcome to 2024!

Are your employees set up to feel their best this new year? Will they take pride in the foods they choose to fuel their bodies? Will they feel mentally refreshed due to their new, sustainable fitness program? Will they feel supported by management and their peers as a result of participating in a group health and wellness program?

If all of this sounds too good to be true – it’s not! The time is now – to decide to offer your employees an engaging and camaraderie-building group health and wellness challenge that focuses on improving their nutrition, health and wellness. And they do it together. Decide to treat them right and make their health and wellness the top priority in 2024.

Group Wellness: Trending in 2024

Did you know that group wellness is trending as we head into the new year? A recent Forbes piece: The Top Nutrition And Fitness Trends To Watch For In 2024, According To Experts, shares that “…individuals will embrace group workouts and social sports—noting that a sense of community brings its own set of benefits beyond exercise.”

Sports and fitness activities that bring people together are the ones that your employees are seeking out. Think about the rise in popularity of pickleball, for example; the hashtag #pickleball has amassed more than 1.2 billion views to date on TikTok. Pickleball courts are growing in number all over the country – perhaps you’ve taken up the sport yourself!

Participating in a health and wellness challenge that encourages team support, social engagement and camaraderie via activities of their choosing will set your employees up for wellness success all year long. It is key that this challenge incorporates diet quality, eating ergonomics and mindful eating techniques. Why not offer a challenge that provides them with these elements - the evidence-based, research-backed most impactful ways for participants to take charge of their health, fight illness, reverse disease, boost gut health and feel and think better — without being “on a diet?”

Offer your employees a program that will allow them to feel better physically and mentally in 2024. Employees are excited and motivated to improve their wellness and start their new year off right! Harness this energy and excitement with a sustainable wellness program masked as an enticing group challenge.

How the 12 Fix Group Challenge Works

The 12 Fixes to Healthy Challenge Program takes a non-diet approach to wellness in a challenge format that is based on a whole-food lifestyle. This program integrates food timing, gut health, the newest protein science, fitness, sleep, eating ergonomics and mindfulness all in one challenge. Participants start by adopting just one new Fix; additional Fixes are introduced one at a time throughout a 12-week time period. Plus, they only need to adopt the Fixes 80% of the time to be successful – no pressure to be perfect! Team support is a big part of the challenge, too - connections and camaraderie among your employees are built and lasting.

A registered dietitian nutritionist leads groups in implementing each of the 12 Fixes, in turn, using the 12 Fixes to Healthy book and 12 Fixes app. Together, the participants concentrate on just one Fix and continue to add each of the 12 Fixes one at a time as the challenge continues for 12 weeks, allowing participants time to concentrate and adopt sustainable changes in their lives.

Take advantage of the motivation and increased participation that comes with the new year! Offer the 12 Fix Challenge to your team. Your employee health insurance is likely to cover at least some of this wellness program. A portion of the program can be paid for via the participant’s health savings account. I'll work with you to understand your goals and make this 12 Fix Challenge a truly positive experience for participants and your organization.
